one day serve local prayer event, october 3rd

Dear Family,

The Acts 1:8 One Day Mission trip that was scheduled October 3rd in Russellville was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Churches were asked to find ways to serve at the local level. I can think of no better way to serve at this time than to pray earnestly for deliverance from the many ills we face.

Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:10, "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."

It is quite an undertaking to be united in mind and thought, and it is only possible when we are all focused on the same task. There is no greater task to focus on than that of making the hope of Jesus known to all in our area.

On Saturday October 3, 2020, our church will unite with other churches in our association to pray over the people, businesses, schools, and government agencies in the cities of Independence County. We will also pray for our State and our nation.

I want to encourage you to participate in this a powerful time of focused prayer. This will be a time for us to unite as churches and to pray over every inch of our cities. Please read below about how you can be involved.

Bro. Stacy

To join this effort, please register online at, or call the church office to register. We need people to register so we can plan prayer assignments.

Participants are asked to come to the south parking lot of the Batesville Community Center between 9:00 and 11:00 am on Saturday October 3rd to pick up a prayer assignment and prayer guide.

You will be able to pray using the method that works best for you. You may prayer walk, prayer drive, pray at a specific location, or pray at home. You may pray by yourself or pray in a small, socially distanced group. The duration of your prayer time is also up to you.
