Office Assistant 2 (part time)

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION


Provide clerical and basic office support for the ministerial staff and ministries of the church


GENERAL GUIDELINES


1. Performs support tasks for ministerial staff, ministry team leaders, and church members. Work is coordinated through the Church Administrator, the direct supervisor

2. Work schedule will be administered by the supervisor, making certain that ministry needs are covered

3. Will be cross trained in certain tasks for smooth operation of the church’s business


QUALIFICATIONS


4. High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

5. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience performing office clerical functions (Required)

6. Proficiency in operating current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to job responsibilities (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), including accurate keyboard speed (Required)

7. Proficiency in using internet-based applications and ordering systems (Required)

8. Experience in reconciling business banking and investment accounts (Desired)

9. Prior experience working in a church administrative office (Desired)

10. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

11. Ability to deal effectively with the public


WORK HOURS


The Office Assistant 2 position is part time, approximately 16 hours per week. The optimal work schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The supervisor may approve adjustments to this schedule.
